On April 24th, Hakkasan kicked off the venue’s one-year anniversary celebrations as it welcomed an exclusive VIP event hosted by VEGAS Magazine.

Greeted upon arrival by traditional Chinese lion dancers moving to festive drums, guests were led into Hakkasan restaurant to experience a vibrant party space filled with intriguing interactive and culinary elements. Beyond its signature latticework caging and tucked away in its Calcutta marble inlays and wood corridors, Hakkasan restaurant presented many surprises for its visitors including a branded photo booth area, were enticed by the beautiful movements of white dragon atmosphere dancers and Chinese calligraphers offered live-painted Chinese characters of wisdom. The event’s guest of honor: Lady Hakkasan was adorned in a custom Hakkasan branded gown, made entirely from red envelopes (a symbol of good luck and fortune). Lady Hakkasan set the evening’s elegant tone by delicately presenting gifts to all who interacted with her.

Furthermore, culinary stations were positioned throughout the space to highlight some of Hakkasan’s distinctive and modern Cantonese cuisine. A Peking duck station featured chefs slicing and serving its famed dish, a mixology station showcasing Hakkasan’s Iron Rose, Buddah’s Palm and Virgin Hakka were crafted in front of the intrigued guests and an interactive dessert display impressed the foodies who attended as its house made macarons and customized chocolate mignardises were the talk of the evening.

After experiencing the extravagant celebration inside the restaurant space, invitees advanced up to the exclusive Ling Ling Lounge, located on the venue’s third-level, for a private cocktail reception. The party continued in the main room of the nightclub where Steve Aoki, fresh off the announcement of his highly anticipated upcoming new album “Neon Future I,” brought his over-the-top party to the venue to commemorate an unforgettable kick-off to anniversary weekend celebrations.

This past weekend, Hakkasasn Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub at MGM Grand celebrated its one-year anniversary with non-stop festivities, and in attendance of the monumental affair was Hollywood power couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Following the birth of their newest addition Apollo Bowie Flynn in February, the couple enjoyed a night out alongside talented artists including Tiësto, Questlove and more as they toasted to Hakkasan Las Vegas’ big milestone Saturday, April 26.

The evening continued with non-stop high energy and was a sight to see as electronic music heavyweight Tiësto took over the DJ booth with a set unlike anything the main room of the nightspot has ever seen, while iconic DJ Questlove kept the energy alive in Hakkasan’s Ling Ling Club. Just before Tiësto took over the decks, he was joined by Hakkasan Group CEO Neil Moffitt as an eye-catching seven-tiered cake adorned with an elaborate Chinese dragon and topped with the iconic Hakkasan emblem was presented to commemorate the anticipated one-year anniversary celebration. Filled with excitement the gentleman shook hands and congratulated each other on an amazing year as confetti burst into the air, marking an unforgettable start to the nightclub’s anniversary celebrations.
