Lights Out Brand creator and NFL star Shawne Merriman will hold a public appearance Friday, May 24, 2013 from 1:30 – 3 pm inside MGM Grand & Company located in our Main Lobby. The appearance will celebrate the launch of the product line in MGM Grand’s retail outlets. Lights Out Brand offers a complete lifestyle product line of high quality, fashion forward apparel for men and women, including stylish t-shirts, V-necks, and fitted and snap-back hats. Merriman will be signing autographs for guests purchasing merchandise as well as taking photographs.
Merriman was given the nickname “Lights Out” in high school for his hard-hitting style of play. He decided to parlay his success on the field into a globally recognized sportswear and casual apparel brand that would appeal to sports fans and general consumers alike.
“Growing up, I couldn’t afford brand name clothing but I wanted to look nice,” commented Merriman. “This inspired me to create Lights Out Brand to offer high quality products with the look of expensive clothes but at an affordable price.”
Lights Out Brand represents something much more than just a nickname or an athlete, it represents a lifestyle.

Sunday, April 7, WET REPUBLIC at MGM Grand was the place to be as the Las Vegas pool party destination was packed to capacity throughout the whole day as fans awaited GRAMMY Award-winning Calvin Harris to kick off his exclusive daytime residency.
The Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter and record producer stole the show as he stepped foot in the DJ booth just before 3 p.m. and spun his worldwide hits including “Bounce,” “Feel So Close,” “Sweet Nothing, “We Found Love,” and many more to thousands of bikini-clad partygoers. Matching the explosive energy from the dance floor, Harris kept the pool packed and pumping all afternoon. But the party didn’t stop there as GRAMMY Award-winning R&B recording artist Ne-Yo made a cameo appearance at the Vegas hot spot. Standing side-by-side and center stage, the superstars took the party to the next level as Ne-Yo got on the mic and gave a surprise performance as he sang the vocals to their chart-topping collaboration “Lets Go.” The crowd erupted as the pair performed together. Harris closed his show after 6 p.m. leaving guests wanting more as they chanted “Calvin, Calvin, Calvin!”
